Christmas Party

We have been hosting my husband's side of the family's annual Christmas party for several years now. The party is a pretty relaxed affair where we eat, and talk, and eat, and open presents, and eat, and laugh, and eat. We usually have a LOT of food. I would have included a picture of the wonderful spread of food but I was too busy eating to take the picture.

The definite highlight of this year's celebration was having my nephew home from the army for the holidays. Mason and Duncan were SO excited about seeing Nick again. Nick joined the army right after his high school graduation last summer and we hadn't seen him in months. He looked great - he looked like a soldier. We're all so proud of him.

The boys received these amazing gigantic Nerf automatic weapons. Truly, the Nerf-gun dart wars around here have been all consuming lately. The boys love their new Nerf guns and even my husband has been getting in on the action.Auntie Kim and Amber posed in their matching Christmas hats. Amber made matching hats for Auntie Kim and herself. Amber made all of her Christmas gifts this year - there was a lot of knitting going on here!
Grandma Judy always opens her gifts last. This year we gave her a Dirt Devil vacuum that she wanted, a gift certificate for Eat and Park, and a photo calendar I made on Shutterfly that included all of her grandchildren.

My sweet niece shows off her Chipotle gift card.

Lastly, Duncan shows off his new Mario pajamas, a gift from Auntie Kim and Uncle John.

Family, food, and fun - what a great day!
